On September 26th, the 2023 World Design Cites Conference (WDCC2023), hosted by the Shanghai Municipal People's Government and supported by UNESCO and the Chinese National Commission for UNESCO, was officially opened. Chen Jining, Secretary of Shanghai Municipal Party Committee, attended the opening ceremony and launched the WDCC2023. Gong Zheng, Deputy Secretary of Municipal Party Committee and Mayor of Shanghai Municipality, delivered a speech at the opening ceremony, and Weng Tiehui, Vice Minister of Ministry of Education, and Xu Xiaolan, Vice Minister of Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, attended the opening ceremony and delivered speeches. This year's conference is themed with "Design without Boundaries, Creation of Everything" to create a world-class design benchmark, innovation curator and new product debut.
